“A” for Alo

Just had lunch at Alo, the new restaurant from the folks at La Duni, and can report that it was tasty. Same La Duni quality with more lunch-type dishes. I had a spinach, mushroom, goat cheese, and chicken salad; a co-worker had a calamari salad; another had some yummy tacos, and everybody seemed to enjoy their dishes very much.

Only oddity: at the back of the menu, under “sides”, it says you can upgrade to a linen napkin for $1.25 (?); plus, there were five of us and they said they only allow three credit cards per table, which is just silly–who even carries around cash anymore?–and then they took four cards, no problem.

But, overall, I enjoyed it. Can’t wait to sample the dinner menu.
