Look for a rewrite of this press release on NBC 5 tonight:
Dear Editor,
Everything might be bigger in Texas. But fortunately, the dust bunny problem is not.
According to the Dust Bunny Barometer, a new survey of 20 major U.S. markets commissioned by American Standard Heating and Air Conditioning, nearly 75 percent of homeowners have unwanted piles of dust throughout their home.
Fortunately, Dallas is a little better than the pact. But just a little. 71 percent of area respondents said they have the unsightly items in their house. The best reason for the good showing could be that Dallas residents seem to believe in preventive maintenance. In fact, residents are 12 percent more likely to change their air filter often and 9 percent more likely to fight dust the old fashioned way – with a wet mop.
